Studio Spomenik- meaning 'Monument' or 'Memorial' in Yugoslav - is a storytelling agency specialized in new media research, digital strategy and interactivity. They analyze data, its context, and the means through which stories are communicated to come up with strong concepts for storytelling, strategy, and interactive design. Often these concepts are then developed into various products ranging from websites and data visualizations to data-driven tools and installations.
During my internship at Studio Spomenik I worked on a research project commissioned by Bits of Freedom, the leading Dutch Digital Rights movement. Studio Spomenik was asked to come up with an idea to raise awareness around data and privacy within the Dutch startupscene.
Through a combination of digital methods research and in-depth interviews with key figures in the Dutch startupscene, we were able to gain valuable insights and practices. I wrote an article on Medium to summarize the most important findings.
